My Edmonton Scribbles

One of my passions is connecting people and local tweetups, especially themed ones, are the easy way to do this. Since Meet the Media is so popular with local tweeters, I decided to organize this event for the third time.

The Underground Tap and Grill is generously hosting Meet the Media 3 on Friday, February 22 starting at 7 p.m.  However, all 110 tickets were snapped up within less than 24 hours. If you are interested in attending, I encourage you to put your name on the wait list on Eventbrite. With events, there are usually people who can’t make it at the last minute so I still think your chances of attending are good.

Update as of January 19: Meet the Media is now sold out with 160 tickets taken. You are welcome to still put your name on the wait list in case people do back out at the last minute.

What constantly amazes me is how people want to connect with local media. For me, that means they do support our local newspapers, radio and television stations. Meet the Media is a statement of this fact.

I’ve listed all the attendees below with links to their Twitter handles. Some attendees may be missing from this list because there were a few duplicate names in the registration. So learn about who’s coming before attending Meet the Media. Brush up on their biographies. Learn their interests. Then enjoy connecting with them in real life on February 22.
