One of my passions is connecting people with others. I think that is why I enjoy organizing events such as tweetups so people can meet each other. Since last year’s Meet the Media was held, there has been a clamouring for another one.
I’m pleased to say the next Meet the Media is set to go for June 1. Since I organized this Meet the Media on my own and wanted a bigger space, I needed to find sponsors who could cover the cost. I’m grateful that London Drugs agreed to be the paramount sponsor of Meet the Media. Thanks to fusedlogic and White Rabbit Communications who are also supporting the event.
I approached the organization differently the second time around by sending Edmonton media invitations to sign up before I announced the event to the general public. I wanted to ensure that media would be attending. I’m pleased to say that over 60 media representatives have already RSVPed!

I appreciate how Edmonton media are enthused to engage with their audiences off of Twitter. I’m excited for June 1 because I know we will all have a blast socializing and meeting new people.
